| 04/20/10 | We attended the 2010 DDBSA National show with Eryx and a female we produced named Ariane. Though we did not win we are very happy with the way our critiques were written by the judge. It clearly shows we are headed in the right direction with our breeding program. %20008.JPG)

| 04/13/10 | Today is a sad day at Heritage Bordeaux. Our wonderful girl Austina passed away from heat exhaustion. We let her out for her afternoon potty break and she overheated playing with the other dogues. Austina had a very very short muzzle when measured to the standard it was actually too short. This unfortunate incident has now shown us the importance of breeding to the one true Standard of the Dogue De Bordeaux. The FCI Standard written by Professor Raymond Triquet. The vets did their best to bring her temperature down but to no avail she went to a better place. Somehow it seems the special ones always seem to leave us too soon. She will truly be missed by all of us here at Heritage Bordeaux. |
| 02/06/10 | Puppies sired by Freedom were born. We can't wait to watch these babies grow as at this moment they are really exceeding our expectations. Look for them to make their show debut in the future. |
| 01/01/10 | 2009 ended up being a very trying year for us. We do not breed for profit as so many in this breed do so family life always takes precedence. With demanding professional careers and 2 kids our dogues are our pets 1st. They are here to be loved and not bred to keep food on our table. In our humble opinion breeders that have to rely on the income of their puppy sales or stud fees are not worth dealing with. How can you make the best decisions towards betterment of the breed when money is the ultimate objective. We have big plans for our breeding program in 2010 so please stay tuned as we are sure everyone will be watching. Remember there are only 2 types of Dogue De Bordeaux out there Correct and Incorrect. Size does not matter as long as it falls within the acceptable limits of the FCI Breed Standard. Our new studs Eron and Eryx are progressing along nicely and are now at an age where we feel it is appropriate to prove them on our females. Please check out our Planned Breedings page to stay updated on their breeding progress. |

| 06/24/07 | Freedom, America, Cleo, and Bernadette attended the 1st annual Canadian Dogue De Bordeaux Club National Specialty show in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Freedom did not place in his class but he was rated as an excellent specimen of the breed by Dogue De Bordeaux breed expert Mr. Phillipe Serioul and savoir of the breed Professor Raymond Triquet. America placed 3rd in his class and was rated as very good by Dogue De Bordeaux breed expert Mr. Phillipe Serioul and excellent by the savoir of the breed Professor Raymond Triquet. Cleo did not place in her class but he was rated as a very good specimen of the breed by Dogue De Bordeaux breed expert Mr. Phillipe Serioul and savoir of the breed Professor Raymond Triquet. Bernadette did not place in her class but he was rated as a good specimen of the breed by Dogue De Bordeaux breed expert Mr. Jacques LeMagnan and savoir of the breed Professor Raymond Triquet. This was expected as she is a very hypertypical dogue " Bulldog Type" either you love her or you hate her..... personally we love her to death. During our time at this show we presented Professor Triquet with all of our dogues and many hours were spent discussing and asking for his guidance on our breeding program. Taking into account all of the years of experience he has with this breed we were overjoyed that he agreed with and approved all of our future breeding plans as outlined to him by myself and my 12 year old daughter. This was a great show and we look forward to attending it each and every year to come.
